Boonville Heritage Days – Make Memories in Missouri

The 2019 Boonville Heritage Days kicks off June 19th

This event is perhaps one of my families favorite festivals of the summer. From parades to historical tours, car shows to beer gardens. Boonville’s Heritage Days truly has something to please everyone in the family.

trailWhile much of the Katy trail is a wreck from flooding the past several months, Boonville and westward towards Clinton is open to visitors. I highly suggest venturing out to the trailhead, explore the town, and enjoy the trail in one of its most beautiful seasons.

Wednesday kicks off with a photo display at Hotel Frederick and culminates with a family movie, Ice, the Movie, at the Hain House.

Thursday brings the family fun as the Carnival begins at 6 PM on 6th street. Rides line the street and your kiddos can challenge themselves to go on all the whirly and spinny rides they can stomach.

Friday the Carnival continues with the addition of a wine and steak dinner as well as beer garden for the big kids. Personally I prefer to load up on a Maggie’s Burger and fries before venturing to the beer garden for live entertainment.

Saturday morning kicks things off with a parade and plenty of opportunities to explore. History lovers will definitely want to check out the old jail tour and Mitchell Auto Museum. Both are truly unique experiences to behold. If transportation is your thing and you want to expand beyond the Mitchell auto museum I highly recommend the car show and model train exhibit.

If you are looking for a unique small town to explore you can not go wrong by stopping in Boonville during its annual Heritage Days celebration.
