The nearest trailhead\, McKittrek\, is a very short ride to downtown. DESCRIPTION:The Missouri River Festival of the Arts will be held August 27-29 at historic Thespian Hall in Boonville\, Missouri. This is the oldest performing arts festival in the state of Missouri and is held in the oldest theater in continuous use west of the Allegheny Mountains! \nUnder the direction of Artistic Director David Halen\, principal violinist of the St. Louis Symphony\, exceptional musicians from the St. Louis and Kansas City symphonies will perform. \nShows will be held at 7:30 PM Thursday\, Friday\, and Saturday and start as low as $12 making this a budget friendly family event. \nTickets will be available on-line at: Tix.com
