June 6, 2019

Flooding continues along the Missouri River and Katy Trail as additional rainfall and snow melt will keep the river above flood stage throughout much of June.

A good rule of thumb, if planning on riding a long stretch, start in Boonville and head west as the trail is open. From Machens through New Franklin nearly 100 miles of trail is closed due to flooding.

As always, check our conditions page as we will continue to update trail users as the forecast may change.

June 4, 2019

New Franklin, MO

Due to a levee breach in New Franklin, most of the trail east of Boonville (MM 191) is covered in several feet of water.

Additionally, the trail is reported as closed a mile west of Weldon Spring.

All previous closures reported are still in effect. Any visitors planning on trekking From St Charles to Boonville should re-schedule trips for later this year. While some portions remain above water, traveling the full stretch is not possible.

The trail from Boonville to Clinton remains passable.
