Although the Katy Trail is open and available for day-use, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Katy Trail Ride to protect participants amid ongoing COVID-19 concerns. The health and safety of our participants, staff and volunteers is our number one priority

Looking for another group ride across Missouri on the Katy Trail? Big Bam on the Katy is still continuing as planned!


The Katy Trail Ride Across Missouri is an annual week-long bicycle ride on the Katy Trail, the nation’s longest developed rail trail and marks year 20 for the event!

Participation is limited to 350 people and registration opened March 1st and closes on May 1st.

The registration fee includes breakfast and dinner daily, outdoor camping spaces each night, hot shower facilities, gear shuttle, support stops, a Katy Trail Ride t-shirt, and water bottle.

Sponsored by Missouri State Parks and the Missouri State Parks Foundation, this scenic bicycle ride spans approximately 231 miles from Clinton to St. Charles, with daily mileage ranging from 37 to 67 miles. Stops will include Sedalia, Boonville, Jefferson City and Marthasville.

The 2020 Katy Trail Ride will allow bicyclists to experience the entire Katy Trail State Park, which takes travelers along open fields and between the Missouri River and its bordering bluffs.

Full Tour Registration (Includes: breakfast and supper daily, outdoor camping space each night, hot shower facilities, gear shuttle, detailed route map, SAG support, t-shirt, water bottle)

Family (group of 2 adults and 2 children)………………………………………… $200 rebate available

Non-Rider Registration (Anyone accompanying a cyclist on the trip but not riding a bike to get from stop to stop can sign up as a non-rider. Fee includes breakfast and dinner daily, t-shirt, water bottle and outdoor camping space. Non-riders provide their own transportation between overnight stops and are not supported during the day’s ride.)

Motor Coach Shuttle (Cyclists, their baggage and bicycle will be transported before or after the ride for an additional fee.)

Board the motor coach after the ride at St. Charles and be transported to Clinton.

Board the motor coach at Columbia on Sunday and be transported to Clinton for the start of the ride. Also board the motor coach at St. Charles on Friday and be transported back to Columbia. THIS SHUTTLE IS ONLY FOR THOSE PARKING IN COLUMBIA

Hotel Shuttle (Available to those who choose not to camp. The shuttle will take participants to and from the overnight camping location.)
