Katfish Katy’s Faces an Uncertain 2022

The Station House at Katfish Katy’s has become a favorite destination for trail goers and Mid-Missouri locals since 2016, offering live music, food, and events. After the original operators stepped away from the business in 2020, Vanessa and Jake Leitza took over for the 2021 season with the intention of continuing and improving upon the business.

Shocking news to many devoted fans hit as the Leitza’s announced on social media they are stepping away from the business on January 31st.

Our 7 month season was nothing short of successful for our family, our amazingly hard-working staff, our loyal customers and all of the musicians. There were a few rough patches along the way, such as the difficulties with the town of Huntsdale and unpredictable weather. This created unreliable hours for staff who depended on us. When weighing these barriers, we decided it is best to step away from here and move on to something new, where we can continue to embrace our community and seek more permanency.

We are saddened to leave, and we want to say thank you. Thank you for allowing us a chance to provide moments of love, happiness, excitement, and fun for you and those you spend time with.

Currently no plans for re-opening have been announced, however, they have confirmed boat club memberships are being honored. KatyTrailMO will continue to follow developments as they unfold.
